step 3
contestant
ad sales
All contestants are required to sell one Full Page Ad for the program book. If you have not submitted the artwork (8.5"wide x 11"tall), please submit those no later than 6pm on Wednesday, July 1st. The program book has to be sent to the printer. Email completed artwork to achfpageant@gmail.com
Note: If you used AI to create your ad page, you need to double check the page specs before submitting to make sure they are correct. AI tends to generate incorrectly sized designs. Incorrectly sized pages will not look good when printed.
WALKING PATTERN
videos
2023 Junior Miss ACHF, Teagan Blackburn, has graciously recorded a few videos to help contestants prepare for the pageant. These are videos of the walking pattern shown down below. The only DIFFERENCE is contestants enter stage to position #1 center stage and will go RIGHT (to introduce themselves in Fun Fashion & for on-stage chat), THEN to the LEFT front corner to complete their turns for the judges before returning to the center to prepare to exit.
We will practice this in rehearsal! We will also practice how contestants will enter and exit the stage for their final look (17 & under), enter and exiting for on-stage questions & final look (18+), and even the awards and crowning.
The pageant committee, along with some of our forever royalty, want to provide a positive experience for everyone. We want everyone to feel confident and prepared.
Contestants will introduce themselves to the judges during Fun Fashion. Be prepared to state name, division, and contestant number during introductions. This is an extra chance for judges to see potential titleholders interact and engage with our hosts, judges, and the audience.
Rehearsals are closed to the public. We ask that parents wishing to watch, please sit in the back of the hall so as not to be distracting to contestants. No photos or videos are allowed during this time. We will have a photographer on-site to capture scenes on-stage, behind stage, and in closed sessions.
Video 1
Video 1 demonstrates the full walking pattern with verbal instructions.
Remember the layout is a little different than the past due to staging, so the video is slightly different. Contestants go center (1), right corner (2 - talking), left corner (3 - turns), center (1 - circle), then exit when prompted by hosts
